Chiropractic
is the second-largest branch of health science,
and is based
on the premise that good health depends, in part, upon a
normally functioning nervous system. The spinal cord has 31
pairs of nerves which exit from the spinal column and supply
impulses to all of the body structures, including muscles
and vital organs. The spinal column consist of 24 moveable
bones (vertebrae) which protect the spinal cord and nerves
and provide support and mobility. If one or more of these vertebrae move
out of their normal position. these nerves may become
irritated causing pain, abnormal organ function, and lower
resistance to disease. As a Chiropractic Physician, Dr.
Watson is extensively trained to diagnose spinal and organ
dysfunction, and to locate misaligned vertebrae. Through
gentle manipulation of the spine, the vertebrae are
correctly repositioned, resorting proper nerve impulses and
allowing the body to function normally and painlessly. |
